About the Client
Queen City Volleyball Club (QCVC) is a competitive program focused on developing young women both on and off the court. We’re committed to excellence in volleyball, building leadership skills, and creating a strong sense of community.
Project Overview
The goal was to design a website that reflects QCVC’s mission, highlights its programs, and serves as a go-to resource for athletes, parents, and coaches. It needed to be clear, easy to use, and aligned with the club’s values of excellence and community.
Design Approach
I focused on creating an intuitive, engaging user experience that speaks to QCVC’s purpose and supports its diverse audience.
User Experience (UX) Rationale
- Intuitive Navigation: A straightforward menu structure helps users quickly find info on programs, policies, and contacts without digging around.
- Visual Hierarchy: Key messages like the mission and program offerings are front and center on the homepage, guiding visitors to what matters most.
- Responsive Design: The site works smoothly across desktops, tablets, and phones—perfect for busy families and athletes on the move.
- Community Engagement: Social media feeds (Instagram, Facebook) are integrated to keep everyone up to date and plugged into the QCVC community.
- Consistent Branding: The colour palette, typography, and visuals stay true to QCVC’s identity, building trust and recognition.
Outcome
The QCVC website brings the club’s mission to life. It’s informative, easy to navigate, and creates a welcoming space for current and future members. Most importantly, it reflects the heart of what QCVC stands for: growth, connection, and excellence.
