Design & Development FAQs

Here’s everything you need to know about our design and development services.

Most small-to-medium projects take about 6–8 weeks from kickoff through launch, depending on scope, revisions, and how quickly content is ready.

Our base package (from $2,000 CAD) typically covers a custom-designed, responsive site of up to five pages (e.g., Home, About, Services, Blog, Contact), basic SEO setup, and one round of revisions. Anything beyond that, extra pages or advanced functionality, is scoped and priced separately.

You’ll supply your own text and images. We do, however, provide best-practice guidelines and can refer you to trusted copywriters or photographers for additional help.

Absolutely. Every site is built to look and perform smoothly on phones, tablets, and desktops. We optimize assets, implement caching, and aim for load times under 3 seconds on average connections.

We cover on-page SEO essentials, meta titles/descriptions, header tags, image alt text, and XML sitemap setup/submission.

Very easy. You’ll get a no-code CMS interface where you can edit text, swap images, and add new pages. We include a one-hour live training session (and a recorded walkthrough) so you feel confident making updates on your own.

Maintenance plans start at $120 CAD/month, which covers plugin/theme updates, security monitoring, daily backups, and minor tweaks. Beyond that, custom design and development is billed at $90 CAD/hour.

We require a 50% deposit at project kickoff and the remaining 50% on launch. Payments can be made via e-transfer or cheque.

We don’t usually handle domain registration, as most clients prefer to manage that themselves. However, if you’d like help with it, we absolutely can.

For hosting, we partner with GreenGeeks, a reliable Canadian provider known for their green energy web hosting. If you host your site with us, we’ll install your SSL certificate for free.

Already have a hosting provider? No problem. We’ll configure and migrate your website to your existing host at no extra charge.

Everything is yours; you’ll receive all design assets, source files, and code exports. Hosting and domain accounts remain in your name and control.

We stand by our work: if the delivered site doesn’t match the agreed scope, we’ll provide additional revisions at no extra cost. Unused portions of your deposit can be refunded prior to final sign-off.
